Nature is awakening,
the earth has been blessed
with spring's gift of immortality,
the winter's gray curtain shorn.
And I've been reborn as well,

awakening the warmth and harmony
inside me.
Birds on every flowering spray,
raise their heads to sing with joy
at the dawning day,
and my heart sings too,
because I'm in love with you.
The scent of gardenias
fills the air,
the world is coming alive,
everywhere,
and I have not a single care,
because I have faith in you,
and our love.
Apple blossoms create
a canopy overhead,
while roses sprout buds
to paint the garden red,

...................مباركا وله الأزهارُ أردانُ
هديةً من ربيعٍ بعد مبعثها
................من الشتاء، كأن الثلج أكفانُ
ولدتُ ثانيةً إذ جئت ملهمتي
..................وخفق قلبي للميلاد ألحانُ
والطير قامت على الأفنان منشدةً
........والأفق بالشمس بعد العصر وسنانُ
وللزهور عبيرٌ ضاع فانشرحت
...........بـمنظرٍ وشذىً روحٌ وأجفانُ
هذي البراعمُ والأزهارُ في نسقٍ
............كلوحةٍ ضمّها للحسن بستانُ
وما أبالي بشيءٍ بعد أن سمحت
..........سمراءُ بالوصلِ، لا يتلوه هجرانُ
كأن قلبي ما أودى به ألمٌ
..........من الصدودِ، وما أدمته أشجانُ
شدو الخلائق في نفسي تَرَدُّدُه
...........وكيفَ لا، وأنا يا أنتِ هيمانُ
فللطبيعة عرس بالربيع كما
........في القلبِ أنت لهذا الشعر ميزانُ
